WHAT IS SOLVENT:
In almost every production sector operating in the industrial field, chlorinated solvent is used in processes such as degreasing, cleaning of dirt and other residues, etc.
The major chlorinated solvents are classified as Perchlorethylene, Trichloroethylene and Methylenechloride, respectively.
Among them, perchlorethylene, which has the highest molecular weight and density as well as the lowest volatility, is frequently preferred especially in surface cleaning processes.
DISTRIBUTION OF PERCHLORETHYLENE BETWEEN SECTORS:
• Dry cleaning and hotels (5 Star),
• In the surface cleaning stages of metal manufacturing and related sectors,
• In leather processing facilities,
• In Shoe and sole Manufacturing,
• In the pharmaceutical and paint chemical industry,
• In the formulation of aerosol products,
• In the cosmetics industry etc..
ADVANTAGES OF DOWPER SOLVENT IN DRY CLEANING:
• Stable (no oxidation, no corrosion)
• Non-flammable
• Maintains pH balance for a long time
• Processing without acidity
• Increasing during washing due to the density being greater than water.
mechanical mixing
• Because they have low viscosity and low surface tension
very good penetration into the pores
• High purity >99.9%
• No residue and odor
• Excellent recycling ability
• Safe for fabrics and dyes
• Does not damage the ozone layer
PERCHLORETHYLENE USAGE AREAS:
In the automotive, metal and casting industry, cleaning metal parts from oil, dirt and dust before coating or painting,
In surface cleaning of metal parts to be printed before applying adhesive,
Cleaning of residue and dirt formed in oil tanks, heat exchangers, filters and piping systems,
In the cleaning of metal-based strainer filters in hydraulic units and fuel systems,
Cleaning of residues such as oil and dirt of sheet raw materials used in pipe manufacturing before production,
Cleaning of machine parts with heavy grease, oil and dirt residues,
In the interior cleaning of air conditioner pipelines and gas exchangers before gas is pumped,
In the cleaning of oil and oil equivalent residues in gas, steam, air and oxygen pipelines,
In cleaning the residues such as paint, varnish, lacquer from metal parts that are now covered with paint,
Cleaning grease, oil and other residues in bearings, bushings, shafts and bearing elements,
Cleaning the varnish and lacquer layer on the windings of electric motors,
WHY PERCHLORETHYLENE:
It provides a cleaning with excellent results for light scale metals.
Thanks to its high steam temperature, it is the most effective type of chlorinated solvent in cleaning melted, oxidized or tightened oils and impurities.
The large volume of solvent vapor condensing on dirty parts is ideal for detailed cleaning.
Due to its high boiling point of 121.1 C, it cleans dried porous metal surfaces completely and quickly. Normally, the moisture trapped in such metals is very difficult to remove.
It is the least harmful type of chlorinated solvent to worker health, has low volatility and is not flammable or explosive.
It has high stabilization. It does not create undesirable side effects such as acidification, oxidation and corrosion.
It maintains its cleaning power and durability by keeping the pH level in balance for a long time.
It does not leave any unwanted residue and odor on the cleaned product with its excellent recycling ability.
Thanks to its high purity of 99.9%, it is safe on sensitive parts and paints.
In addition to being used at low temperature levels, it can be dried quickly and without staining.
In addition to being environmentally friendly, it does not harm the ozone layer.

ADVANTAGES OF SURFACE CLEANING PROCESSES ON METALS:
The surface has been cleaned of all kinds of oil, rust and dirt.
Thanks to the coating, roughness has formed on the surface, the surface area has been increased and the necessary conditions for a good adhesion of the paint have been provided.
As a result of minor scratches and distortions that may occur in the paint film for various reasons, the corrosion that started from this weak spot and may continue under the paint will be slowed down considerably.
Metal has become more convenient to shape.
Corrosion resistance has increased with wax and rust preventive oils.
Protection resistance and lubricity for moving parts are increased.
Sudden changes due to thermal expansion between metal and coating are minimized
USAGE OF PERCHLORETHYLENE IN INDUSTRIAL AREAS:
It is applied directly on the metal with a brush, cloth or dipping method. Before the product is applied, any coarse grease and rust residues on the metal are cleaned.
Coating is done immediately after. In the immersion method, the tank must be stainless steel, iron or polypropylene.
It is a late volatile solvent used in the printing and offset industry in the changes of rubber roller paint. It is the most used solvent in digital printing machines. It prolongs the life of rubber rollers, protects and makes safe cleaning. Features: It is a very strong product for cleaning paint and roller. Heavy oils, dirt and dust formed on metal surfaces are cleaned with the help of this product. There is no abrasion or corrosion effect on the metal surfaces of the product. Does not cause swelling on rubber rollers. Usage: The product does not dilute, it is used directly. It is applied by deletion method. Does not require rinsing.
THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN USING SOLVENT
• Exposure to large amounts of toxic solvents can irritate or even directly damage the skin, eyes, lungs or other organs.
• Causes symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, headache, sore throat, fatigue, fast or irregular heartbeat, difficult breathing, which appear immediately if inhaled or swallowed. May cause cancer, kidney or nervous system disorder, fainting when inhaled with some solvents.
• In case of contact with eyes, it may cause eye burning, aging, itching or redness. Prolonged exposure of the eyes to solvent vapor may cause temporary visual impairment, persistent itching or permanent visual impairment.
• In case of contact with the skin, it causes skin dryness, crusting, burning, itching and rash. In case of excessive exposure of the skin with solvent, the solvent may pass through the skin and mix with the blood and cause permanent diseases.
